On Tuesday 20^th February 2024, we welcomed Jodie and Joanne who are both nurses from the NHS Rotherham Trust, for a microsuction ear wax removal training course.

This was the fifth course that Pharmcy Friends had arranged with the NHS Rotherham Trust. Our regular venue is Sigma’s office in Watford, however, the room that we normally use was booked and so it was hosted at Veni’s home. The day course is split into two parts with the morning being theoretical and afternoon practical. There were 7 attendees in total who were a mix of pharmacists, dispensers and technicians from the South East.

Given the continued focus on services, offering an ear wax removal is an important and profitable private service a pharmacy can offer which compliments the existing services provided. Usually pharmacies charge between £60-70 to remove wax from two ears which takes 15 minutes to do.
